Our world is constantly changing, and so is our society. Social practices are changing all the time. What men wouldn’t dream of doing 10 years ago is slowly becoming commonplace. The 21st century man is able to express his feelings and emotions, cook, decorate, and dress stylishly, all while maintaining his masculinity. So where does that leave you? Test of Time

For forty one years you should be proud

As your son I want to shout aloud

To be a part of something so wonderful, magical, and full of love

So admired, envied, and fondly thought of

And on this day remembered with tears in your eyes

Think of each other, your children, your wedding sighs

For there is something you must hold truly sublime

Your love, which has stood the test of time

Welcome back. Into poetry now? I can see your parents' faces on their anniversary. It must be similar to the one on my brother and sis-in-laws face when I sang at their engagement (Never Saw Blue by Shawn Colvin), and at their wedding (Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper).

Peter - it was for my parents (dont worry, I take it as a compliment), I am actually 39. You also look very young from your photo.

Mermaid - I always have been into poetry just havent written much for a while, remember my song lyrics? I thought this last attempt sounded like a cheesy greeting card, I will attempt something more abstract in the near future. Glad to be back!

Cheesy, yes, but obviously heartfelt.

And I've never dared attempt a poem for my parents, so good for you.

Sorry about my comment.

I wanted to say that this is a wonderful moment for your parents. And it just keeps getting better too! So they say. :)
