Thirteen
There are so many amazing poets that have blogs. Many of you have recently become part of my virtual peer group, or virtual friends. I don't consider myself a poet, but here are some lyrics to a song I wrote many years ago:
Wandering so slowly cross the line
Cast between reality and time
Treading on the shadow left by you
Nothing left that anyone can do
Realizing love is the answer
To the meaning of your scarlet dreams
And ego left behind in the meadow
Blowing forever tranquil in the breeze

Neel, maybe I'll hear this one day. I can love words, or a song's melody, but it's tough to make them dance together well. I have always wished I could write music and play an instrument. I know it's never too late. For now, I sing songs I love, and write.
If you're bold enough, maybe we'll hear you on audioblogger. It is a little nerve racking singing and having others listen. Responding to your last post, I now realize that I need to keep swimming back to the passion that drives me. So I will post "Tidal Love" on my own. Do you think that could inspire you to sing, or at least play the music with the words? Audioblogger sound quality kind of sucks, but it's a start.

i can't even WRITE that without laughing. you know i'm kidding, right? i sing ONLY in the shower or when i'm serenading my boyfriend, he likes it. i serenade him with "Another Ones Bites The Dust" by Queen. why? because i'm weird.

Venus, thanks for stopping by. Actually I am a hybrid. My dad is from Bengal and my mother is from Lancashire, England. In some ways I feel Indian, but in many ways I feel English.

I was wondering the same as Transcience - if you've set your lyrics to music. "Treading on the shadow" was my favorite line. It almost seemed reminiscent of blogging in itself - these words, like shadows, that we leave behind before heading back out into our off-line worlds. ;-)
